- The Rose Bowl Riders Summer Hunter Schooling Show was held on Sunday, May 18th, 2008. The show was well-attended and lots of fun! Show results are available here, and proofs of photographs taken by the show photographer may be viewed at www.trinitywheelerphotography.com. (updated 5/21/2008)
- RBR's next Horsemanship 101 Class is scheduled for Sundays in June from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Dates are June 8, 15, 22, and 29th. The class is a great opportunity for kids to learn about horses from the ground up, as well as lots of fun! - Two new Art Classes will be presented at Rose Bowl Riders on Sundays in June 2008 in cooperation with the Pasadena Human Services and Recreation Dept. "Art of the Hahamongna Watershed Park" will be held June 8th through June 29th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students will hike through the park from RBR and will create paintings, prints, drawings, and mixed media sculptures incorporating the sights, sounds, and smells of nature and its inhabitants. "Art of the Horse," to be held on the same dates from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., will allow students to tour the RBR barns and facilities and view the International Child Art of Horses Collection in the RBR clubhouse. Students will create paintings, drawing, prints, and handmade college books.The instructor is Patty Sue Jones, and the cost for each class is $100.00, which includes materials. - The Third Annual Horses in the Arroyo Playday and BBQ will be held at Rose Bowl Riders on Saturday, June 21st. This celebration of the long tradition of Horses in the Arroyo will feature a special performance by Los Hermanos Banuelos! The Playday will begin at 4:00 PM and will feature fun contests and relays as well as the traditional Barrel Racing and Pole Bending. There will even be a "foot" division, with broomstick horses provided, for those without a horse!. You can download the Playday premium here (.pdf, 1.4 MB) for details.
